County Government Day

On Monday, March 14, the Wauneta-Palisade senior class participated in County Government Day at the Hitchcock County Courthouse in Trenton. The day, hosted by the American Legion with the help of the Hitchcock County Courthouse staff, gave the students a hands-on look at how their local government works. A video presentation to start the day was followed by a tour of the courthouse and its various offices. A delicious lunch was served by the members of the Ladies Auxiliary from Trenton, Culbertson and Palisade. After lunch, the WP Broncos faced the Hitchcock County Falcons in a Trivia Bowl. The day was full of educational experiences to help the seniors be better citizens.
