The RPAC coaches recently released their choices for the 2016-2017 All-RPAC Basketball Teams . Wauneta-Palisade's Faith Simpson earned Second Team Honors in the girls division, and on the boys side, Greg Gaston was first team, Brody Nordhausen was second team, and Cash Yearous and Duncan Rector were Honorable Mention. The WP Broncos boys basketball team became D2-4 District Champions on Tuesday night with a 53-51 overtime win over Wilcox-Hildreth and qualified themselves for the 2017 State Basketball Championships. With a decisive 57-44 win over the Wallace Wildcats on Thursday night in the finals of the D2-8 Subdistrict, the WP Broncos advance to the District Final. WP will take on Wilcox-Hildreth at Southwest High School in Bartley on Tuesday, February 28 at 6MT/7CT in the D2-4 District Final.
