WP students Paul Behrends, Kenna Blackman, Brody Nordhausen and Jayden Ingold were all selected for the Class D All State Band. A concert will be held at the University of Nebraska-Kearney on March 19. Paul will play Bass in the Jazz Band, Brody was selected for percussion in the Wind Ensemble, and Kenna and Jayden will play flute in the symphonic Band. Congratulations, Broncos!

The Wauneta-Palisade Band will travel to Southwest High School in Bartley on Tuesday March 22 for RPAC Band. The bus leaves at 10 MT, and the clinic starts at 12 MT. After a day of perfecting the pieces with the clinician, a concert that is open to the public wll be performed. It starts at 6MT.
The High Plains Honor Choir at Chadron State College will be held February 1 and 2, 2016. WP's Miranda Behrends will be participating in the event. Students selected for the honor will rehearse for two days, and then culminate their experience with a concert at Chadron State College. Congratulations to Miranda for being selected for this honor! The Nebraska Choral Directors Association is pleased to announce the 2016 Sing Around Nebraska Festival Choirs, the 25th year of the event. Beautiful choral music will be sounding from sites all around the state throughout the months of January and February, 2016. Ten Wauneta-Palisade students were selected to participate in the festival. PK-4th grade students will be performing a Christmas Concert on December 15th in the Palisade school gym beginning at 6:30 MT/ 7:30 CT. The Palisade CS club will also be hosting a free will donation Soup and Dessert supper beginning at 2:00 MT/ 3:00 CT in the school cafeteria.
All State Choir and All State Children's Choir will be held in Lincoln on November 18-21. Camden DeWester and Sonya Behrends will be participating in the Nebraska All-State Children's Choir in Lincoln on Nov. 19th. They will perform in a concert with other 4th and 5th graders from all over the state. Miranda Behrends was selected by the process of audition for All-State Choir. She is an Alto II and will be singing with 450 high school students from across the state. She will rehearse on Nov. 19th-21st, and the event . . .
