Register for Selective Service

Just like you shouldn't be late for class, skip school or blow off homework, men also need to be on time signing up for the Selective Service.

If you're a man who's close to turning 18, read up, then sign up.
Registering for the Selective Service is required by law, within 30 days of your 18th birthday, but there are a lot of reasons you'll want to do it all on your own.

only is signing up part of growing up, but without signing up for the Selective Service, you can't get a driver's lisence in most states. Or important things like federal job training. Civil jobs. Federal student loans. Or citizenship. That's right: even if you're not a US citizen, you're still required to register.

So do the right thing to make the right thing shappen in your life. Take two miutes to register on your smartphone at sss.gov. Or go to your post office andfill out a registration card. Yes, you can register early. Questions? Talk to Mrs. Johanson.
