My name is Denise Janicek. I am originally from Wauneta and graduated from Wauneta High School. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Before teaching at Wauneta-Palisade, I taught two years at Fairmont, Nebraska. I am married to Kevin Janicek. He is a farmer and DeKalb Seed dealer. We have one daughter, Mandi. She is married to Beau Kramer. They have a daughter, Marlee, and live here in Wauneta. I am a Mathematics Teacher and 7th grade sponsor here at Wauneta-Palisade. I teach Applied Math, Essential Math, Consumer Math, Algebra I, Geometry, Advanced Math, and Calculus. I recognize that teaching mathematics is a privilege that comes with responsibilities. Students are my first concern. I will listen to them, work with them and provide them with the best education that I can. I will be honest, respectful, and compassionate toward them and will do my best to educate them all. Feel free to visit my classroom at any time. My door is always open, even though it might be closed.
