The Wauneta-Palisade girls basketball team has earned #2 seed in the D2-9 Subdistrict Basketball Tournament held next week in Maywood. This week, the North Platte Telegraph released their picks for the 2016-2017 All-Area Basketball Team. Wauneta-Palisade junior Faith Simpson took top recognition, as she was named the Player of the Year. This season Simspon averaged 20.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 5.7 steals, 2.1 assists and 1.5 blocks, leading her to this honor. Read the article on the North Platte Telegraph.

After defeating the Eustis-Farnam Knights in the first round, the Broncos move forward to take on the Wallace Wildcats.
