I am currently in my 9th year at Wauneta-Palisade Schools. I taught K-4 PE and High School Weights in my first years at W-P, and am now the school’s Activities Director and Principal. I also have the opportunity to be involved in multiple coaching roles. I serve as Co-Head Football coach and High School Track Coach. My passion is to help kids learn on multiple levels and to have a positive impact on their lives every day. My many roles at W-P give me ample opportunities to pursue and fulfill this passion!

I graduated from Hastings College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in K-12 Physical Education and a Coaching Minor. I taught K-12 PE and coached at Sandhills Public School for 2 years prior to coming to W-P. I received a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2016.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, helping my in-laws on the farm, hunting, and watching/playing sports. My family includes my wife Amy, who “technically” is a stay-at-home mom, but also spends a lot of time working on the farm, and our two boys Barrett, Creighton, and Kannon.

I am very grateful to be at Wauneta-Palisade Schools. We have an outstanding staff that works hard to help students in every way they can, and our kids are 2nd to none! The positive environment of this school system makes it an enjoyable place to come to work every day, and creates an atmosphere of learning throughout the school!
