Wrestling Invitational at Arapahoe Public Schools
Saturday February 1, 2020
Time: 8:00 Weigh-ins, 8:30 Seeding Meeting, 10:00 Start
Format: Bracketed (depending on number of entries)
10:00 1st Round and Semifinals/Wrestle backs.
Break after semifinals 15-20 minutes
3:00 Finals (Approx)
Round Robin (depending on number of entries)
There will be 4 to 5 rounds of round robin, making every attempt to get the kids as many matches as possible. Round robin with 3-6 wrestlers, more than 6 would have pool play, and if there are only 2, consider best 2/3.
A decision on the format will be made prior to the event, following the entries for the tourney.
Awards 3 Team Plaques, 4 Medals/Weight Class
Admission: $5 Adults $4 Students Passes Accepted (Coaches, managers, Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free)
Coolers: Will not be allowed in the main gym or locker areas.
Buses/Vans: Buses/Vans drop off at West Main Entrance and Buses park on North Side of the football field, Vans park in west parking lot.
Officials: Terry Pfeiffer, Ron Smith, Dale Bean
Concessions: Will be available throughout the day.
Teams: Arapahoe, Cambridge, Cozad JV, Decatur Community, Hi-Line, Sandhills Valley, Hitchcock County, Elm Creek, Norton KS JV, Pleasanton, SEM, Wauneta Palisade.
We have a team that is wrestling on January 30 and others that are wrestling on January 31. So Athletes will be receiving a 2lb allowance for our meet on February 1st.
