NSAA D-7 District Track Meet

DATE: Wednesday, May 8, 2019

TIME (CDT): 9:30 a.m. CDT Scratch Add Meeting in the large white building east of the grandstands

10:30 a.m. throwing events, 11:00 a.m. jumping events, 1:30 p.m. running events

PLACE: Hitchcock County High School Track in Trenton

TEAMS: Alma, Arapahoe, Bertrand, Dundy County-Stratton, Elwood, Eustis-Farnam, Hitchcock County, Loomis, Maywood-Hayes Center, Medicine Valley, Wauneta-Palisade

AWARDS: 1st-6th place medals will be awarded for all events. Points will be awarded using 10-8-6-4-2-1 points system and plaques will be awarded to the first place and runner-up girls and boys teams.

TRIALS & HEATS: Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump, Triple Jump will all receive three preliminary attempts, top eight to finals with three more attempts. Qualifying for finals in the running events will depend on the number of preliminary heats.

2 Heats - 1st & 2nd Places plus the next four fastest times.

3 Heats - 1st Place and the next five fastest times.

4 Heats - 1st Place and the next four fastest times.

 

STATE QUALIFYING: In the field events, those that place in the top two, or meet or exceed the additional qualifying standard, shall qualify for State. In the individual running events the winners of the first two places and the next six fastest times regardless of place will qualify for the state meet. There shall be a maximum of 24 qualifiers. If there is a tie for the last qualifying spot, none of those tied shall qualify. In the relays, the winners of the first place shall qualify for the State Meet, plus the next seven fastest times of the non-qualifiers regardless of place, with a maximum of 16 relay teams qualifying. If there is a tie for the last qualifying spot, none of those tied shall qualify.

 

ADMISSION: $4.00 Students (K-12), $5.00 Adults

SPECTATORS: Once running events begin, spectators will not be allowed on the infield

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available.
